No Stopping February

:No Shopping February:

RISK TAKING develops new beliefs, yet there are many activities which the individual prohibits himself simply out of a comfortability in routine. And through his routines, and habits, all sorts of ways of being start to unconsciously appear as risks.

But if you consciously articulate "What are the risks of buying no clothes this month?" or something similar, you would laugh at yourself and say There are no risks at all, possibly only gains!

I could explain, too, that returns of any kind demand risks all the same.

I wonder why more people in my social vacuum aren't commenting on the new presidency. The newly established Department of Government Efficiency is at base a very interesting and "long time coming" development, and sort of goes in line with the dialogue of other tech moguls looking to redefine, as I keep saying, how we organize and carry on with our lives in a non-material sense.

A friend who works in the Parks department has been telling me about a current threat to his employment due to the ongoing changes in government offices. To limit any bias to interpretation, he is a supporter of the upheaval of the government (for better or worse) even at the expense of his own livelihood. As a government employee, we have cause to take his opinion seriously.
I have implored him to make notes and document what he is experiencing since most people I know haven't shared much information on the subject in their usual uproar. So far, I have only seen speculative content. But the presidency is still early yet.

While I'm sitting here on a fine Saturday, I saw another friend post an article which fits snugly among my thoughts.

When I started First Millennium in 2023 I had the idea that, similar to social uptick in "vintage" tech fascination - such as vinyl, digital cameras & flip phones- on the mainstream whole people want to visit other parts of the internet. I am not shocked to hear this comment from someone I haven't spoken to in 5 years:

What is shocking is to think about our myopia which we insist is quite optimistic from within the cultural and intellectual hegemony of our metaphysical world. The design of the world's most current primary use gadget explains everything : a handheld rectangular reflective whose controls and permissible terrain follow only base cardinal directions and so keeps us wed to a flat perspective as if we were looking down into a stretched and narrowed landscape, similar to an illustration. And being like an illustration, is one sided, with absolutely Nothing offered to shape.

Of course how many times I've mentioned the silly buggaring of closed source softwares, or the embraced totalitarianism vis a vis 4 main websites we live and die upon, that we let live inside of us with increasing confusion and hatred for the imperceptible enemies of our day. Come on!

It's not news, but new to some people.

What Scares me?

This pop up feels worse than censorship.

Through my hobby I'm a witness to the clutter of web-real estate, the graveyard if we would even be more satisfied by that idea.

And from the world of the dead to that of the living, I'm entertained at how exacting it is to represent yourself online today. Used to be that, if you could organize it and code it into some web property you were rich beyond belief. Lol!!! Nobody thought that, that's just me talking ;)

And we also reposted each other a lot more. What the hells wrong with that, now??

yes Things disappear from the internet. So, I feel 'paid regardless' for making my lists. And in a flashy fantasy I think about everyone expanding their expressions, I mean the lay user, you know, having more places and getting more comfortable living in THIS JET AGE, OUR awakening twenties

If you wanna check out some websites dating back nearly 30 years you know where  to go:

Then next .... 🫧🫧Love🫧🫧
